Do you twitter?

We don't tweet currently, but we're looking into ways to incorporate the whole Twitter thing.  We do have a Facebook page for Janet.  Click
here. -- Alex

I purchased a nook from barnes&noble.com and I am looking to purchase all the Stephanie Plum novels on ebook but there are a lot missing from the ebook section (like 2-7). Do you when they will all be available for ebook?

The Nook is brand new and they are just getting up to speed with all their book offerings.  I'm sure they'll get around to making all Janet's books available as soon as possible. -- Alex

Back to the Bedroom is the first of four romances to feature Elsie Hawkins, then The Rocky Road to Romance. What are the other two books that have Elsie in them?

Elsie Hawkins makes her first appearance in Hero at Large (in stores around March 30).  She then continues to show up in Smitten, Wife for Hire, and the two books you mention.  Trivia fact:  It's Elsie's gun that Grandma Mazur carries in her purse. -- Alex

I own a Kindle and I really want to continue reading your books, but only the first 3 Stephanie Plum books are available on Kindle. Will you be making the rest available soon!!! I hate to stop now!

We've just gotten word that Amazon and Janet's publisher, Macmillan, have come to an agreement regarding e-books (we don't know what that agreement is).  All books by Macmillan authors should be available on Amazon soon. -- Alex

I gotta know, will the new Barnaby graphic novel be easy for those of us who don't read graphic novels to understand and love?

We have worked very hard to make sure it is easy to read for everyone.  It reads left to right, front to back.  No strange wheel like patterns.  Like Metro Girl and Motor Mouth, it is written in first person.  So if there is a narrative box, you always know it's Barney's inner dialog. -- Alex

Ranger or Morelli, who do you think is more like Jack Bauer from 24?

Morelli is more the shoot from the hip guy, but Ranger is a lot more deadly.  That's a tough one.  Maybe Jack is a combination of both. -- Alex

I enjoyed seeing the book covers of Three To Get Deadly from around the world. But I am confused by the Japanese cover. Who is that supposed to be? ( Also slightly confused by Steph being a red head on the British cover. Whats up with that?!)

I think he's supposed to be Uncle Mo (the guy with the nose shaped like a piece of the male anatomy).  Stephanie might have red hair in Three.  Did she go to Mr. Alexander's?  I'll have to double check that  Check out both covers by clicking here. -- Alex

When i add a website to my favorites bar - some have a little icon. Yours does not-just a white sheet of paper with a blue e on it. Why not make Rex your symbol?

That's a great idea.  We'll put that on our list for the next round of updates.  Thanks. -- Alex

What are Tastykakes?  I assume they are some sort of cake...?  It's hard to imagine Stephanie eating something you can't picture!  We don't have them in New Zealand.

Tastykakes are little, individually wrapped cakes that are found everywhere in the Middle Atlantic area of the U.S.  There are a bunch of flavors and they are all really good. Butterscotch Krimpets are our favorites.  For a picture of the Krimpets, click here and look at the banner pictures on the top of the page, or go to tastykake.com. -- Alex

Are you going to continue to rerelease the plum series in groups of three to a book? (As you did w/1,2,3 and then 4,5,6.).

Omnibus editions are something the publisher does.  I'm sure they'll do a 7, 8 and 9 at some point, but we haven't heard any talk of one yet. -- Alex

When did Stephanie's Uncle Sandor die?

Sometime between Two for the Dough and Hot Six.  He leaves a great legacy, however -- his 1953 Buick Roadmaster, aka Big Blue. -- Alex

Hi There!  I love the Plum novels, but I need to know whether no 12 - 15 is available in South-Africa as yet?

Absolutely.  They are all available through Kalahari.net. -- Alex

What is Rex's favorite thing to eat?

Graham crackers. -- Alex

I thought the daily quote was going to be somewhere on this site but I can't find it. Is it here?

The daily quote is right on the home page, at the bottom in the white box.  We are working on moving it over to the Facebook page for Janet as well. -- Alex

Recently purchased Gib Gummi, Baby! But it is in German!! (I didn't realize it from the Amazon site) Is there an english version of this?

In English this book is called The Rocky Road to Romance, one of Janet's early romance novels.  FYI, we tried out an online translation site, and the literal translation of the title seems to be "Give Rubber, Baby."  YIKES! -- Alex

Will we ever see character profiles for Valerie, Ellen, Albert Kloughn, Connie or some of the other characters that have appeared in the Plum series?

Absolutely!  We add to the Fun Stuff section every month.  Hopefully we'll be adding some more character profiles in the near future. -- Alex

I was wanting to know if u can preorder your new 16th book from the stephanie plum novels.

At present, online bookseller Amazon.com is taking pre-orders for Sizzling Sixteen.  BarnesandNoble.com and others will probably join the fold very soon.  It's due out June 22, 2010. -- Alex

Who is everyone picking for the Superbowl (Black and Gold I hope!)? Joe, Steph, Ranger, etc.

Joe was upset when the Colts beat the Jets, so he's pulling for the Saints.  Ranger thinks it's the Saints year. Grandma Mazur once took a trip to New Orleans and likes the beads. Stephanie thinks the Colts will win.  Lula doesn't care as long as she goes to a good Super Bowl party. -- Alex

will u b offering bookplate for the newest stehanie plum novel?

Yes.  We'll post more information about them in March. -- Alex

I was wondering if you are going to have something in your store... like a hat that shows support for both Morelli and Ranger.

I'd love to have a Morelli and Ranger hat, but so far I haven't been able to come up with a good design.  I'll keep working on it. -- Alex

I am avid Plum reader and I hate to admit but I have trouble picturing the floor plans of Stephanie's apartment and her parents house.

We currently have the layout for Steph's apartment on the site.  We originally had to post it under "character profiles," but we should be able to move it to fun facts next month.  Click here. -- Alex

Will Hero at Large be released on unabridged CD?

Yes.  It should be available around March 30, the same time as the paperback. -- Alex

What is on Ranger's IPod? Steph's? Joe's?

Joe's into Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi -- all classic rock.  Ranger likes classical music because it helps him to focus and think.  Stephanie always has some Metallica on her iPod. -- Alex

Does Ranger have any tattoos?  Joe?

Ranger is ink free.  Joe has an eagle tattoo on his chest. -- Alex

Maybe this has already been answered at some point, but will an excerpt of Troublemaker be posted on the site?

Yes.  Probably in April or May, but I'll try to get a few sneak peeks up before then. -- Alex

How old is Ranger? I forget which book it is in but I could of sworn you wrote that he was 2 months older than stephanie.

Ranger says that he is two months older than Stephanie.  If we take that to mean exactly two months older, then his birthday is August 12. -- Alex

Does anybody outside of USA ever win your competitions?

Absolutely.  In this year's Name Book Sixteen contest, an honorable mention went to Kristen Devendorf of Sweden for the runner up title, Sally Sweet Sixteen. -- Alex

Are you part Italian?  You seem to know the culture so very well.

No.  Janet has Danish ancestry and her husband has Hungarian.  Janet grew up in a town in New Jersey where many of her friends and neighbors were Italian. -- Alex

I have just finished reading Plum Spooky! Carl the monkey had me in stitches. What kind of monkey is he?

He's a cute monkey.  Carl will be returning in the new Diesel series which starts in late-August or early-September. -- Alex

Since Diesel is getting his own series does that mean no more Plum in-between novels?

No plans for a between-the-number book this year, but who knows what the future holds. -- Alex

When is book 15 coming in paperback?

Finger Lickin' Fifteen's paperback edition will be released on the same day that Sizzling Sixteen comes out in hardcover... June 22. -- Alex.

Did you know that Victoria Secret makes a thong with cupcakes on them?

It's hard to go wrong with cupcakes... or Tastykakes... or any kind of cake for that matter. -- Alex
